| Q: What if i still want to collect toys passed the December 15th date? |
PLEASE NOTE
Our campaign is considered an EXTRA LARGE Campaign due to the massive geographical area that we cover. If you are an approved Toy Collection Drop Off Location, we will be collection ALL boxes from ALL sites starting December 1st and last day for pick up will be December 15th!
In most cases where an organization would like to continue to collect toys after the Mid December deadline. Please confirm that on your application and with your Poing of Contact on the marketing material left with the box for your location.
We can work with organizations to pick up the box/boxes with toys on a case by case basis for those who are stil collecting after the deadline but that would be the exception and coordinated ahead of time. Here is the reason: Our collection week is extremely busy and carefully planned. Once we conduct our final a pick up at your location, we do not normally have the resources to make additional trips. We will try to work with you and remain flexible. We highly encourage your team to deliver if possible if no additional pick up are scheduled. We appreciate your understanding. |

| Q: How will I know when my distribution date and location will be? |
When you apply to receive a toy or toys for your children, you will receive an automatic response email with some additional information. Approximately a week to a week and half PRIOR to the distribution event, you will receive an additional email with details.
If you do not have an e-mail account, we will do our best to send the messages to the cell phone provided on your application (Please note your cell phone carrier may or may not charge for this).
Our local webiste will ALSO display the closest distribution site to your zip code/city.

| Q: Where do my donations go? |
Great Question!
Toys for Tots Foundation is a national foundation broken up into smaller campaigns that cover different States/Counties and Cities. (Please feel free to browse through the FIND A LOCAL CHAPTER tab on the toysfortots.org website for more informaiton.
Your donations (Toys or Monetary) will go into that local campaign where toys are collected, inventoried, sorted by age and gender and later distributed BACK to the local community. Monetary donations are handled at the National Level which go directly into the local campaign funds to purchase additional toys to meet the "gap" for ages and genders for which toys were not collected or need more of.
Please visit our Sponsor page for more information on becoming a donor/sponsor. |

| Q: Can I pick up toys for someone else? |
Unfortunately due to the coordination of the Distribution Events and the "drive thru" model. We ask that ALL registered (adults) be present to pick up toys. There are required documents that NEED to be presented for each adult and child/dren on the application and picking up on behalf of someone else will ONLY hold up the line if you do NOT have the proper documents. IF the registered adult CANNOT attend the Distribution Event, there is a section on the application that allows for a secondary adult. Please use them as a "back up" to avoid any issues the day of the distribution. Thank you.

| Q: How do I know if I qualify to receive toys for my children from Toys for Tots? |
Please include as much information as possible in your response so that we can make a determination using the best available information. Most families who qualify for either Federal or State assistance will qualify for our assistance. Additionally, families which fall within the Federal poverty level guidelines due to income will be eligible. This guidelines encompass Military families as well as the local civilian community.

| Q: Why a Toys for Tots website? |
Toys for Tots created a national website to provide information, education, and an opportunity to donate to Toys for Tots to the American public. | Q: How do I find my local Toys for Tots campaign? |
The national website is the starting point to find one of our nearly 800 Toys for Tots campaign sites. At the top of the Home Page of the Foundation's National Website (www.toysfortots.org), there is a menu option “Donate a Toy”. From this menu, one may select the state, then the city/county in which they reside. If the city/county is covered, clicking on that location will take the surfer to a local Toys for Tots website. At the local website, each visitor may find information about local events, how to become a collection point for the local campaign, how to register for assistance, and how to donate directly to a local campaign. return to top > |

| Q: What ages are supported by Toys for Tots? |
Most campaign sites are able to assist children up to age 12, but in many local communities, local support is such that the age limit may be extended to 14-16. return to top > |
|
| |
| Q: Is there a list of toys available to guide me with my donation? |
Toys for Tots does not publish a list of appropriate toys to donate. If such a list were created, most would follow it, resulting in a limited selection of items to distribute in each community. We would rather our donors consider what might be an appropriate gift for their own child/relative, purchase the item, and donate to Toys for Tots. return to top > |

| Q: Pre-teen/teens are groups for which shopping is especially difficult. Do you have any ideas? |

In the past, items purchased for these groups have included, but are not limited to: sporting equipment/bags/balls; books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, watch/wallet gift sets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars/trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers. return to top > |

| |
| Q: I signed up for assistance/to be a collection site but have not heard anything. What should I do? |
You must contact the local Toys for Tots representative about such particulars. Contacting the national Foundation can increase the time it takes for such a message to reach the appropriate person.
